Silver Beats Blue in Nevada's Sertoma High School Football Classic

by Jeff Fisher
Nevada High School Football Huddle

The teams only had three days of practice for the 30th annual Sertoma Football Classic, and it showed a lot on the field as little offense was mustered in a 14-3 win by the Silver over the Blue at Mackay Stadium in Reno.

The Silver's two touchdowns came on short runs from Spanish Springs' running backs Austin Ruah and Kenny Nez.

Newspaper reports indicated that the game was marred by trash talking and fights at the end so no MVP awards were handed-out.
