Centennial showed Nevada football fans that it deserves its USA Today Super 25 ranking on Saturday with a 51-20 win over defending Nevada 4A champ McQueen in the Barry Sollenberger Kickoff Classic in Reno. McQueen Squares-off Against Arizona Champ in Border Challenge

Defending 4A state champ McQueen will have the Nevada high school football spotlight to itself this weekend when the Lancers play 2008 Arizona 5A Division II champ Centennial in The Border Challenge (also known as the Sollenberger Classic) at Mackay Stadium in Reno. The game starts at 7 p.m. and can be viewed on the internet at www.aia365.com.

McQueen is the only Nevada team to be playing this weekend. The regular season for the entire state begins next weekend.

Centennial has won three straight 5A Division II championships and is riding a 26-game win streak.
